RCB now have 7 wins in 12 matches, while SRH has 6 losses in 11 matches.
RCB had batted first after Faf du Plessis won the toss and received a huge blow as Virat Kohli was dismissed off the first ball itself. But then Du Plessis (73*) and Rajat Patidar (48) added 105 runs in 12.1 overs.
Then Glenn Maxwell made 33 in 24 balls, and RCB looked set for a score of around 170 runs. But Dinesh Karthik sprang into action as he smashed 4 sixes and 1 four in the 8 balls he faced and remained unbeaten on 30 as RCB finished on 192/3 in 20 overs.
In reply, Kane Williamson was run out of the first ball without facing a delivery in SRH innings. Rahul Tripathi made 58 in 37 balls, Aiden Markram made 21 and Nicholas Pooran made 19 as the rest of the SRH batting crumbled under the pressure of a poor start and excellent bowling from RCB.
This was RCB’s 7th win in 12 matches and now they move one step closer to playoffs qualification, while SRH slid down the table with 6 losses from 11 matches.
The Cricket fraternity shared their reactions to RCB’s big win over SRH and praised Wanindu Hasaranga for his fifer.
