Warner scored 92* as Delhi Capitals scored 207/3.
Delhi Capitals (DC) are taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 50 of the IPL 2022 at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. With both teams searching for a win, their task became harder with injuries to key players as DC made four changed while SRH made three changes to their XI.
Prithvi Shaw, Akshar Patel, Chetan Sakariya and Mustafizur Rahman made way for Mandeep Singh, Ripal Patel, Khaleel Ahmed and Anrich Nortje for DC, while Shreyas Gopal, Kartik Tyagi and Sean Abbott replaced Washington Sundar, T Natarajan and Marco Jansen for SRH.
SRH captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bowl first, but the decision backfired as Delhi Capitals piled up 207/3 with David Warner scoring 92* and Rovman Powell smashing 67*. The unbroken 122-run partnership off 66 balls came after DC were in a spot of bother at 85/3 in 9 overs.

Warner broke the record for the most T20 fifties with his 89th half-century in the format and it was probably a performance that would mean a lot to him as it came against his former franchise with whom he parted ways unceremoniously.
In the 19th over bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Warner played a remarkable shot off the first ball for four as he was attempted a switch-hit but the veteran bowler was smart to change his line. Warner however adjusted brilliantly and played what was effectively a late-cut like a right-hander.
