Rajasthan Royals (RR) will next play a match in the IPL 2022 on May 7 after their loss to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 2, 2022. This means they had a five-day break to rejuvenate themselves and it seems the RR players took full advantage of it.

In a video posted by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on their social media handles, off-spinner R Ashwin can be seen playing chess with young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Ashwin appeared to be instructing Jaiswal in the game, guiding him along while conversing with others, while his younger IPL teammate tries to make moves on the board. The game is far too easy for Ashwin, according to RR's Twitter handle.

“Prof. Ashwin ke daayein haath ka khel (Something Ashwin can do with his left hand)” said RR in the tweet along with the video.

The post elicited a response from the All-India Chess Federation (AICF), who invited Ashwin to have a game.  “Ek ek haath hojaye? @ashwinravi99 @rajasthanroyals (How about a hand?)" said the AICF in its tweet.

Rajasthan Royals will next face Punjab Kings on May 7 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. RR have 6 wins from 10 matches and have 12 points to their name thus far. They need at least two more wins to be assured of a place in playoffs.
