IPL 2022: Rashid Khan shocked after Liam Livingstone’s 117 meter six; checks his bat after the monstrous hit

Gujarat Titans lost the match to Punjab Kings as Livingstone slammed 28 runs in Shami's over.

Liam Livingstone was the star for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their latest IPL 2022 match against Gujarat Titans (GT), as he smashed 28 runs in one over from Mohammad Shami to lead his team to a win.

Chasing 144 to win, Livingstone smashed three sixes and two fours in the 16th over of PBKS innings bowled by Shami to take the team past the finish line. Earlier GT had batted first after captain Hardik Pandya won the toss. But struggled the while way to 143/8 with Sai Sudharsan top-scoring with 65* and Wriddhiman Saha making 21.

Kagiso Rabada was the Player of the Match for his 4/33.

In reply, Shikhar Dhawan made 62*, while Bhanuka Rajapaksa made 40 in 28 balls, putting PBKS on the winning path. The finishing touches were put by Livingstone who started the 16th over bowled by Shami with a monstrous hit of 117-meter six.

This led to everyone exclaiming in surprise and pure shock and Gujarat Titans’ vice-captain Rashid Khan approached Liam and checked his bat to see what it was made of to send the ball to the upper most stand of the DY Patil Stadium towards the square leg boundary.

GT posted a hilarious tweet as Khan checked Livingstone's bat after monstrous hitting. Along with the picture, the Gujarat Titans wrote, "Rashid Bhai, spring maili? (Rashid, did you find the spring?)"

Not only this, Rashid Khan posted a story on his instagram account with the photo of him checking Liam Livingstone’s bat and text reading: “Brother that was the biggest six I have ever seen.”
