Livingstone smashed 28 runs in 16th over bowled by Mohammad Shami to win the match for PBKS.
Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Hardik Pandya chose to bat first after winning the toss and posted 143/8 on the board with Sai Sudharsan making 65* in 50 balls with 5 fours and 1 six. The next best scorer was Wriddhiman Saha with 21 runs, as Kagiso Rabada of PBKS took 4/33.
In the chase, Shikhar Dhawan remained unbeaten on 62, while Bhanuka Rajapaksa made 40 in 28 balls and Liam Livingstone made 30* in 10 balls including a monstrous 117 meter six off Mohammad Shami, which was part of a hat-trick of sixes.

PBKS won the match by 8 wickets in the end and Kagiso Rabada was named the Player of the Match for his four wickets.
Livingstone started off with a monstrous six which was hit off an in-angling length ball and cleared his front leg and swung his bat mighty hard to flog it over a deep square leg. The six was recorded having traveled 117 meters, by far the longest six not only in IPL 2022 but possibly in entire IPL history.
