MS Dhoni had won four IPL titles for CSK.
MS Dhoni has led CSK to four IPL titles, the recent of which came in IPL 2021. He relinquished the captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja weeks before the IPL 2022 began. However, Ravindra Jadeja’s tenure as the captain didn’t start well, as CSK has lost six matches and has won only 2 matches thus far from 8 played this season.
However, MS Dhoni was seen handling the field placements for death overs as Jadeja prowled the boundary ropes. And in a fitting way, it was decided that Jadeja handed over the captaincy back to MS Dhoni.
The official statement also read that MS Dhoni had accepted the lead the CSK in the larger interest and allowed Jadeja to focus on the game. Jadeja has made 115 runs and taken 5 wickets in IPL 2022 thus far, while MS Dhoni has 132 runs to his name with a strike rate of 133.33.
