IPL 2022: WATCH - Andre Russell breaks chair with his brutal hitting in KKR's net session

Russell has so far scored 227 runs and has taken 10 wickets in IPL 15.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) all-rounder Andre Russell on Monday (25th April) broke a chair with his brutal hitting in the nets ahead of his side’s match against Delhi Capitals (DC). 

Andre Russell is no doubt proving to be the backbone of KKR in the ongoing IPL 2022. The Caribbean all-rounder has played some staggering innings with the bat and also chipped in with the wickets at a crucial time for his team with the ball. 

Russell has so far scored 227 runs at an average of 45.4 and a gigantic strike rate of 180.15. His ability to finish the innings on high with the bat has many a times benefitted KKR to post high totals on the board. Not only this, Russell has so far taken 10 wickets at an economy of 10.48 and a strike rate of 8.80.

Ahead of KKR’s match against Delhi Capitals on Thursday (28th April), Russell showcased his brutal hitting in the nets. The all-rounder smashed the ball hard and it went on to smash a chair on the ground, leaving a big hole in the seat. 

The franchise posted the video on its official Instagram account and wrote: “Wait for the #MuscleRussell impact at the end!”

Coming to KKR, after dominating the first few games, the Shreyas Iyer-led side has fallen back. They lost their four encounters and are placed eighth on the points table with three wins to their name. They would be eager for a win when they’ll step on the field for their next encounter.
