Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni is known for his sharp brain, calm temperament, and ultra-cool demeanour on the cricket field. Dhoni hardly ever has lost his cool in any situation. Whether his team is winning or losing, his calm attitude never changed.

However, there were some instances when "Captain Cool" lost his calm. Recently, former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson, who shared the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) dressing room with Dhoni between 2018 and 2020, recalled the moment from the IPL 2019 when the former skipper vented his frustration after Mumbai Indians (MI) had beaten CSK in the final by one run.

Watson recalled during a conversation for The Grade Cricketer podcast:When you talk about whether he gets flustered or anything…the only time I've seen him a tiny bit frustrated was when we lost against Mumbai Indians in the IPL final in 2019. I saw him kick his bag a little bit, just a tiny bit! So, you could see how much it meant to him!”

He added, “He's just that type of a person who is super cool. You are around someone who, no matter what the situation is, how the team is going, he's just so calm and that is what resonates throughout the whole group. One of the most important things in the cricket environment is to take all the pressure and worry and stress out. That's what he does, because of the person he is.”

Notably, Dhoni captained CSK to four IPL titles, and ahead of the ongoing IPL 2022, he stepped down as the defending champions’ captain. He is also the only captain to have won all the major ICC trophies.
