The 31st match of the ongoing IPL 2022 will see the exciting encounter between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the DY Patil Stadium on April 19, 2022, as both will have a chance to shake things up at the top of the table.

Both the teams are in the top four with 4 wins from 6 matches each and only the net run rate separating them on the points table. Much has to be achieved by both the teams as points are crucial at this stage of the tournament as the table gets more crowded.

Keeping this in mind, Team COC presents to you the Predicted Playing XIs for the LSG v RCB match in IPL 2022.

LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS

The LSG team is working like well-oiled machinery with openers KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock having great form as well. However, the point of contention for them has been the no.3 spot which has seen the likes of Manish Pandey, Evin Lewis, and K Gowtham getting a go each.

The middle-order however is full of players and hitters who can amplify a total if batting first or give a cushion while chasing a total. Ayush Badoni, Deepak Hooda, and Krunal Pandya have all played important knocks thus far and with the addition of Marcus Stoinis to the mix, their batting and bowling have gained much more flexibility.

Jason Holder provides that batting depth and ability to swing the ball at the start, while Avesh Khan has done all he can to impress the viewers and experts alike with his pace and ability to bowl yorkers. Dushmantha Chameera might be a bit expensive with his economy, but his extra pace has helped KL Rahul stun the set batters.

Ravi Bishnoi has done quite an excellent job of keeping the batters quiet in the middle overs and LSG will hope for a few more wickets from him.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE

RCB have done excellently well thanks to their lower middle order coming to the party. Their captain Faf du Plessis even admitted that the top order is yet to fire, with Anuj Rawat being inconsistent and Virat Kohli unable to carry his form and make a huge score.

Glenn Maxwell has done well to keep the runs going in the middle overs, while it has been the Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik, who has been finishing the game excellently well for RCB. They now also have the assistance of Suyash Prabhudessai, who made quite an impression on his debut.

Bowling-wise, Harshal Patel adds much more depth in the death bowling of RCB while Mohammed Siraj and Josh Hazlewood take care of the opening overs. The good news for them is that Wanindu Hasaranga has been in wicket-taking form and this match will be important for him, given the hitting might of the opposition batting.
