Umran Malik was impressive with his pace and new found ability to attack the stumps.
SRH captain Kane Williamson continued his toss-winning streak and chose to bowl first. He went in the match with an unchanged XI, while PBKS had to make a forced change as captain Mayank Agarwal missed out due to an injury, as Shikhar Dhawan captained the side and Prabhsimran Singh replaced him in the XI.
Shikhar Dhawan (8), Prabhsimran Singh (14), and Jonny Bairstow (12) tried to force the pace on the slow DY Patil stadium pitch but failed to do much. But it was Liam Livingstone whose 33-ball 60 proved to be the impetus that PBKS needed. He hit 4 sixes and 5 fours in his knock.
Shahrukh Khan hit 2 sixes and one four in his 26-run cameo, but in the end, SRH bowlers pulled things back and restricted Punjab to just 151 in 20 overs.
Umran Malik starred with the ball, taking his IPL best figures of 4/28, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned with 3/22. Malik was pacey as usual, but him attacking the stumps and bouncing the batters out was a brilliant thing to watch and was appreciated by all.
The cricket fraternity lauded Umran Malik for his speed and now that he is taking wickets as well on Twitter.
