Royals Challengers Bangalore (RCB) continued their fine show in the ongoing IPL as they defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by seven wickets at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Saturday (April 9).

Invited to bat first, MI posted 151/6 in their 20 overs on the back of Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten 68 off 37 balls.

In reply, RCB rode on opener Anuj Rawat’s 47-ball 66 and former skipper Virat Kohli’s 36-ball 48 to overhaul the target with 9 balls to spare.

Kohli looked in fine form as he anchored the run-chase to perfection. However, his stay in the middle was cut short by South Africa U-19 star Dewald Brevis, who is known as 'Baby AB' for his AB de Villiers-like batting style.

Brevis trapped Kohli LBW in the penultimate over to deny the veteran batter a half-century. On-field umpire gave Kohli out but he reviewed the decision. However, much to his disappointment even the third umpire failed to find any conclusive evidence to overturn the decision.

After the game, Virat Kohli interacted with Brevis and their chat was uploaded by Mumbai Indians (MI) on Twitter.

In the video, Kohli can be heard saying to Brevis: “Young man! Good one, eh! Good first meeting. Get me on the first ball. How’s it? Good? Enjoying it?”

In reply, the 18-year-old said: “Good experience.”
