Suryakumar Yadav starred with the bat for Mumbai Indians (MI) in their clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the MCA Stadium, Pune on Saturday (April 9).

The right-hander arrived in the middle when MI were in a spot of bother at 60/2. The score soon became 79/6 as Mumbai suffered a middle-order collapse.

Amid the pressure situation, Suryakumar stepped up to the plate and produced yet another gem of a knock. Rather than being dictated by the RCB bowlers, he launched a counter attack.

Suryakumar reached his half-century off 31 balls and tore apart the RCB attack in the death overs. He eventually finished with 68 not out off 37 balls with 5 fours and 6 sixes, propelling MI to a highly competitive total of 151/6 in 20 overs.

In the process, Suryakumar put on an unbroken 72-run partnership with Jaydev Unadkat, who returned with 13 not out off 14 balls.

For his fabulous knock under pressure, Suryakumar Yadav received rich praise from the cricket fraternity on Twitter.
