Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Rishabh Pant on Monday (21st March) talked about his side’s preparations for the upcoming IPL 2022. He said that they are currently trying to understand new players and assign them roles.
Delhi Capitals had an impressive IPL 2022 auction. Having retained Pant, Akshar Patel, Anrich Nortje and Prithvi Shaw, they acquired the services of David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, and Lungi Ngidi.
Since the last two editions, they have emerged as the heavyweights in the league but have failed to have their hands at the glory. They would be hoping to break their jinx of knockout phases and lift their maiden IPL title.

He said the team feels new to him and the management is trying to get the new players acquainted with the team values and environment. He added that as of now, all players are in "a good frame of mind" and enjoying their time.
"We have spoken to the new players about the team environment we've had in the last few years. It seems like the team has been made for the first time. I observed every player during my first practice session with the team and it looks like everybody is in a good frame of mind. Everybody is enjoying each other's company,” he said.
