CSK started their practice session at Surat.
When he was interacting with fans with CSK's IPL 2022 new signings Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Shivam Dube during a virtual interaction organized by India Cements, Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni was in the mood to have some fun.
When questioned about his interaction with MS Dhoni, Hangargekar, the U19 World Cup-winning India fast bowler, the CSK captain interjected and made a sly remark.
"He's been told to improve his football skills," Dhoni remarked, causing a chuckle among the audience.
Notably, Dhoni, who was also a goalkeeper in high school, enjoys football during practice sessions and incorporates it into the training sessions of the teams he plays for.

During his first training session with CSK, Hangargekar said Dhoni gave him a simple piece of advice. CSK purchased Hangargekar for Rs 2 crore in the IPL 2022 mega auction, after he shone with his pace at the U19 World Cup.
"On the first day of practice, MS bhaiya told me just go with what you are already doing. Don't change anything. Just keep doing what you have been doing really well. That was a really good piece of advice for me, that I have the freedom to do what I'm doing," Hangargekar said.
In the meantime, Dhoni praised the Surat practice facilities, where CSK is doing their pre-season training camp. Dhoni has been in charge of training ahead of the IPL 2022 season, which begins on March 26.
"Everyone is very excited, this 15-20 days time will give extra time for them to get used to each other. Facilities in Surat are outstanding. Whatever we have required, they have provided. The facility, reception, and hospitality have been great," Dhoni said.
In the opening match of IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium on March 26, CSK will begin their championship defense against Kolkata Knight Riders in a rematch of last season's final.
