CSK face KKR in IPL 2022 opener on March 26 in Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
It was a huge relief for the CSK team as they were fretting over the fitness of their two star players- Ruturaj and Deepak Chahar. Ruturaj had injured his wrist before the home series against Sri Lanka, while Deepak Chahar tore his quadriceps during the West Indies white-ball series.

Meanwhile, Ruturaj, who was the Orange Cap holder for the most runs in IPL 2021, joined the team in Surat itself, before they wrap up and move to Mumbai, to prepare to face off against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the opening match of the IPL 2022 in Wankhede Stadium on March 26.
While CSK are happy to see Ruturaj joining them, Deepak Chahar is set to miss the start of the season. Signed by the franchise for Rs 14 crore, Chahar is still awaiting clearance from the NCA, after he reportedly turned down the option of surgery and opted for rehabilitation to heal his quad tear.
