RCB will reveal their captain in an event called the ‘RCB Unbox’ on 12th March.
IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday (10th March) posted a video of Virat Kohli, in which he can be seen leaving a cryptic message for fans ahead of their captaincy announcement.
The IPL 2022 is all set to begin from 26th March in Maharashtra. With just a few days remaining for the start of the league, RCB is yet to announce their captain. The post got vacated when Virat Kohli stepped down after the IPL 2021 season to manage his workload.
Recently the franchise stated that they will reveal their captain and jersey in an event called the ‘RCB Unbox’, which is slated on March 12 at Church Street in Bengaluru.

RCB is posting something every day related to the event and is leaving no stone unturned to hype their event. They posted a video of Virat Kohli speaking about the event. He expressed his excitement and as he was about to talk about the most important news, the video abruptly fast forwards and ends.
"Hi guys, a few updates for you guys. As you know, we are going to start our season pretty soon. [It's] something I am really excited for. As I said, renwed energy. Really looking forward to this season. First and foremost the most important news is that.,” Virat Kohli said in a video posted on RCB's Twitter account.
As of now, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik are the front runners for the leadership role in RCB. There also has been a buzz around that Virat Kohli might once again captain the side. Many feel that his being relieved of India captaincy might prompt him to take the leadership role again.
