Notably, Ashwin and Buttler were involved in the infamous ‘Mankading’ incident back in 2019. Playing for Punjab, the off-spinner had run out the wicketkeeper batter by affecting ‘Mankad’.

Meanwhile, Jos Buttler has moved on from the incident and he is now looking forward to share the dressing room with the seasoned tweaker.
"Hey Ash, Jos here. Don't worry, I'm inside the crease. Can't wait to see you in pink for the Royals. Look forward to sharing a dressing room with you," Buttler said in a video posted by Rajasthan Royals on Twitter.
Besides Ashwin, the Royals also bagged Yuzvendra Chahal, Shimron Hetmyer, KC Cariappa, Trent Boult, Devdutt Padikkal, Riyan Parag and Prasidh Krishna on Day 1 of the mega auction.
