The biggest surprise of this set was that former India batter and one of the chief architects of Chennai Super Kings’ success Suresh Raina went unsold. The left-handed batter has 5528 runs in 205 IPL matches but failed to garner interest by any of the 10 franchises.

The biggest earners in this set were opener Devdutt Padikkal, who was bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 7.75 crs, and Shimron Hetmyer who joined him at Rajasthan for INR 8.50 crs.
Jason Roy was bought by Gujarat Titans for his base price, while Robin Uthappa was bought back by CSK for his base price as well.
