WANINDU HASARANGA (SRI LANKA)

Wanindu Hasaranga owned the T20s in 2021, even becoming the top-ranked bowler in the format. He picked the most wickets in the T20 World Cup 2021, including a hat-trick, and was a shining star in otherwise poor Sri Lankan performance in the tournament.

Wanindu Hasaranga had represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2021 but he featured in only two matches as he was released ahead of playoffs. He has set his base price at Rs 1 crore at IPL 2022 mega auction.

The Sri Lankan spinner has a very good record, taking 110 wickets in 83 T20Is at a brilliant economy rate of 6.39. In T20Is, he has taken 52 wickets from 33 matches at 6.21. He is also handy with the bat down the order and will come in handy for any franchise bidding for him.

KAGISO RABADA (SOUTH AFRICA)

Kagiso Rabada was released by the Delhi Capitals (DC) as they preferred to retain his countrymate Anrich Nortje. Rabada has placed himself in the INR 2 crore bracket and is on the marquee list of players in the IPL 2022 mega auction.

Rabada has played 50 matches in the IPL picking 76 wickets with a best of 4/21 and an economy rate of 8.21. Arguably one of the best fast bowlers in the world today, Kagiso Rabada will be on the shortlist of every franchise, looking for a quick bowler who can make an impact with the new ball and in the death overs.

JASON HOLDER (WEST INDIES)

Jason Holder is having the time of his life at the moment currently in the T20 format. He has put his base price as INR 1.5 crores and he will be a big attraction in the IPL 2022 mega auction given his form with the bat and the ball.

He recently became only the fourth bowler in T20I history to pick four wickets in four balls and the first West Indian to pick a T20I hat-trick. He also had a terrific outing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second half of the IPL 2021 edition and with all-rounders in high demand, someone like Holder will attract good attention.

Holder, being a former West Indies captain, will also bring leadership qualities to the table as well.

QUINTON DE KOCK (SOUTH AFRICA)

One of the biggest non-retentions ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction was Quinton de Kock as Mumbai Indians preferred to retain Kieron Pollard as their foreign retention.

29-year-old De Kock will be in high demand given that he has retired form Test cricket, which frees him up a bit more from South Africa’s international cricket responsibilities and makes him available for possibly the entire IPL season.

In 77 IPL matches, De Kock has made 2256 runs with one century and 16 half-centuries at a strike rate of 130.93 an average of 31.33. His ability to score quickly and bat through the innings makes him immensely dangerous to opposition bowlers. De Kock has kept his base price at INR 2 crores and he is in the marquee set of players.

He has also captained South Africa in the past and will lend leadership advice to the captain. His keeping abilities are well known and expect De Kock to earn big bucks in the IPL 2022 mega auction.

DAVID WARNER (AUSTRALIA)

Former Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) IPL winning captain David Warner will be one foreign player who will be in high demand in the upcoming IPL 2022 mega auction. SRH had dumped Warner as the captain and as a player in what turned out to be an abysmal IPL 2021 season for them.

Now with three franchises in KKR, PBKS, and RCB looking for captains, who better than David Warner to join one of the teams and lead them to glory. Warner has kept his base price at INR 2 crores and he is in the marquee set of players.

Expect a huge bidding war for David Warner who was the Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup 2021 helping Australia win their maiden T20 world title. He will be one of the most anticipated players in the IPL 2022 mega auction.
