RCB retained Glenn Maxwell for INR 11 crores and Mohammed Siraj for 7 crores
Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) pacer Mohammed Siraj and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell expressed gratitude towards the franchise for retaining them ahead of the IPL 2022 auction.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were among the franchises that surprised fans with their retention list. The Bangalore-based franchise no doubt retained Virat Kohli but left out the likes of spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, purple cap holder of IPL 2021, Harshal Patel, and youngster Devdutt Padikkal.
RCB retained only three players and apart from Virat Kohli, the franchise retained Glenn Maxwell and Mohammad Siraj for INR 11 Crores and 7 Crores respectively.

Speaking in a video posted on RCB’s YouTube channel, pacer Mohammed Siraj thanked the franchise for trusting and showing faith in him He further urged fans to keep supporting and loving his team.
“Thank you RCB family for retaining me and showing trust and faith in me. I am really honored. And my message to RCB fans - keep supporting, keep loving us," Mohammed Siraj said.
Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell also thanked RCB for retaining him for the IPL 2022. He hopes that his side will go a couple of steps further in the next season and win the title.
“Shout out to the RCB management for retaining me for the upcoming IPL season. We have a lot of fans this year and we hope that we go a couple of steps further next year and win that title. I know that the fans will be there and supporting us in the red and black outfits and hopefully, we can put up a massive show next year,” Glenn Maxwell said.
With Virat Kohli stepping down as skipper, RCB will be in the hunt for a new captain.
