Former Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain David Warner's chapter has closed with the franchise ahead of the IPL 2022. It was very clear that SRH aren't going to retain him after removing the Aussie from captaincy and playing XI in IPL 2021.
Warner made an Instagram post featuring Rashid Khan and Kane Williamson in the picture and wrote, "Chapter closed!". He also thanked fans for their love and support.

"Thanks to all of the fans @srhfansofficial @sunrisersfansofficial for your support over all the years, it was was much appreciated. #fans #loyal," he wrote on Instagram.
Rashid is also among the players who wasn't retained by the franchise. Apparently, both the parties didn't come to an agreement and the leggie decided to go into the auction.
Thanking the franchise, the Afghanistan T20 star called them his 'pillars of strength', and wrote, "It has been a wonderful journey with the @sunrisershyd. Thank you for your support, love and for believing in me.
"To the #OrangeArmy you've been my pillar of strength and I shall forever be grateful for such wonderful fans."
