Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera were two Sri Lankans added in the RCB squad for IPL second-half.
Former Sri Lanka cricketer Dhammika Prasad has pointed finger at Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) team selection after their exit from IPL 2021. Prasad tagged RCB skipper Virat Kohli in a tweet and wrote that he should have included Dushmantha Chameera in the side for a better outcome.
RCB lost to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2021 Eliminator and crashed out of the competition, while KKR booked a place in Qualifier 2. They had finished number 3 on the points table and were having a good season with 9 wins in the league stage.

Prasad tweeted that Chameera, who was included in the RCB squad ahead of the IPL 2021 second phase, deserved a chance to play. The Sri Lankan told Kohli not to repeat the same mistake and he said the speedster is better than some of the players who got into the playing XI.
"To be honest @DushmanthaDC05 well deserved to get chance to play for @RCBTweets, @imVkohli if he played any of those results would be different, next time don’t repeat this mistake again, he is much better than the some of the players who played, badly it was cost you guys," the tweet read.
Leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga was also part of the RCB squad and he played in two matches. Hasaranga and Chameera had left the IPL bio-bubble to join the Sri Lankan squad for its T20 World Cup qualifiers campaign on October 11.
