The winner of this match will play Delhi Capitals in the second qualifier.
Both RCB and KKR have had varying degrees of success in the past two seasons of the IPL, with RCB making it into the playoffs for the second straight time, while KKR got rid of their net run rate issue and made it into the playoffs for the first time since IPL 2018.
With that in mind, let’s look at the COC Predicted Playing XIs for the RCB v KKR eliminator match
ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE
RCB had a good run in the IPL 2021 where they have been winning matches on a constant basis. Devdutt Padikkal, AB de Villiers, and Glenn Maxwell have found great support in Virat Kohli, while Harshal Patel has taken the tournament with a storm with the ball.
IPL 2021: “Made me jump Outta my seat”, Virat Kohli hails MS Dhoni as greatest finisher eve
Yuzvendra Chahal found his mojo back with the ball and the RCB team secured playoffs qualification with some matches to spare. Kohli had led the team brilliantly and given that their combination in the last 2-3 games has helped them gain momentum, it doesn’t look like RCB might change anything.
The only possible change might be Dan Christian or George Garton making way for Kyle Jamieson in the team.
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS
KKR were the biggest benefactors of the IPL 2021 moving to the UAE as they not only changed their fortune around but managed to get into the playoffs on basis of a great net run rate, something that was the reason for their elimination from playoffs for the past two seasons.
For KKR the biggest question ahead of the eliminator is the fitness of Andre Russell as they need him now more than ever. A win here will take them straight into the second qualifier match and Russell could play a huge role in that.
IPL 2021: ‘Mood within camp is quite confident’, KKR skipper Eoin Morgan ahead of Eliminator
The last time these two sides met, Russell yorked AB de Villiers first-ball, and his legendary six-hitting ability has often found an extra gear against Royal Challengers.
The match is going to be an exciting one with two teams full of talent that are edging to showcase their skills on the biggest stage of them all.
