Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) were at their best against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers (RCB) in match 52 of the ongoing IPL 2021, played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi as the former handed a 4-run loss to RCB.

SRH after being invited to bat first by RCB were restricted to a paltry 141/7 in their quota of 20 overs. Even though the batters failed to get going, the bowling unit of this Hyderabad-based franchise stepped up and defended their small total on Wednesday (6 October).

The right-arm quick Bhuvneshwar Kumar not only returned the terrific figures of 1-25 in his 4 overs but also defended 13 runs in the final over with AB de Villiers on strike.

After registering a thrilling win over Virat Kohli and Co., the pacer revealed his plans while bowling to the explosive batter AB de Villiers.

BCCI should seriously consider allowing five overseas players in XI from IPL 2022- Aakash Chopra

The hand is fine. I got hit thrice after I dropped a catch as well. When AB bats, I was thinking about the process. I was trying to bowl wide yorkers, Kumar told host broadcasters Star Sports after the match.

I bowled a yorker at the stumps and got hit for a six and then again went back to wide yorkers. If you look at the score at three venues it hasn't been much. We did think we were 10-15 short though,” he added.

SRH bowlers really stepped up their game in this clash against RCB as Umran Malik bowled the fastest delivery of IPL 2021 clocking 153 kmph in the 9th over of the second innings.

The Kane Williamson and Co. will now be facing Mumbai Indians (MI) in their final match of the league stage on Friday (8 October) at the same venue in Abu Dhabi.
