IPL 2021: David Warner shares picture from the ground during SRH vs KKR match; spotted out of SRH’s dugout

Australian cricketer David Warner on Sunday (October 3) shared a picture from the ground during the live match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

However, the southpaw wasn’t spotted at the SRH dugout. Instead, he was seen sitting in the stands alongside Virat Singh and Veer Pratap Singh, who are also part of the Sunrisers squad.

Notably, David Warner has been at the receiving end of some tough decisions taken by the SRH management this year. He was removed as captain midway through the first phase of IPL 2021 in India and has been axed from the playing XI four times, including today’s match.

Moreover, Warner wasn’t even present at the venue during Sunrisers’ last two games. He was following the match and cheering for SRH from his hotel room.

Last week, the opening batter had hinted that the ongoing IPL season will be his last with SRH – the franchise whom he led to the title win in 2016.

Considering the treatment meted out to David Warner this year, it is unlikely that the Sunrisers will retain him ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction.
