RCB chased down RR's 149/9 with 7 wickets in hand and 17 balls to spare.
Asked to bat first, RR got off to a terrific start as the duo of Evin Lewis (58 off 37 balls) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (31 off 22 balls) added 77 runs for the opening wicket.
However, once they got out, Rajasthan’s batting line-up fell like a pack of cards and they could only post a below-par 149/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
For RCB, Yuzvendra Chahal (2-18), Shahbaz Ahmed (2-10), and Harshal Patel (3-34) starred with the ball as they picked up seven wickets between them.
In reply, Bangalore overhauled the target with 7 wickets in hand. The duo of skipper Virat Kohli (25) and Devdutt Padikkal (22) led a decent foundation of the chase with a 48-run opening stand before Srikar Bharat and Glenn Maxwell took the game away from the Royals with a 69-run partnership for the third wicket.
While Bharat got out on 35-ball 44, Maxwell held the one end firmly and remained unbeaten on 50 off 30 balls to take RCB over the line with 17 balls to spare.
