Veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh took a jibe at the BCCI selectors while praising Yuzvendra Chahal for his amazing bowling performance for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Mumbai Indians (MI) on September 26, 2021, in the IPL 2021.

Chahal was in the news after his name was missing from India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2021 as the Chetan Sharma-led BCCI selection panel went with Rahul Chahar as the wrist spinning option.

When asked the reasoning behind it, Chetan Sharma had said, "Yuzvendra Chahal’s name was discussed. But we picked Rahul Chahar over Yuzi as we wanted someone who bowls fast and gets pace off the pitch. He also gets the ball to grip through the surface."

This hadn’t sat well with either the cricket fraternity or the Indian team fans at the time.

IPL 2021: Glenn Maxwell seems a lot happier at RCB than last year- Sunil Gavaskar

When Chahal picked 3/11 as RCB beat MI by 54 runs the other night in the ongoing IPL 2021 match, Harbhajan Singh couldn’t keep himself from taking a sly dig and tweeted, “Did Chahal bowl fast or slow today guys ??? 4–0-11-3 what a spell champion @yuzi_chahal

RCB have 6 wins from 10 matches resulting in 12 points and need to win atleast 2 games more from their remaining 4 encounters to make it into the playoffs.
