IPL 2021: WATCH- Faf du Plessis’ amazing effort at boundary sends Eoin Morgan back

KKR won the toss against CSK and chose to bat first.

Faf du Plessis is considered to be one of the best fielders in the cricket world and his exploits at the boundary for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL have been legendary. He had taken two amazing catches near the ropes when the IPL 2020 was played in UAE and now that the IPL 2021 is back in the desert country, Du Plessis once again shined.

His amazing catch resulted in Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Eoin Morgan being dismissed as the two teams clashed in Abu Dhabi on September 26, 2021, in the 28^th match of the tournament.

KKR captain Morgan won the toss and chose to bat first and went in unchanged. CSK made one change, resting Dwayne Bravo and bringing in Sam Curran.

KKR started poorly as Shubman Gill was run out for 9 and after a decent partnership with Rahul Tripathi, Venkatesh Iyer was dimissed off Shardul Thakur's bowling for 18. Morgan came in and looked in a bit of discomfort for 8 runs and tried to up the ante.

He tried to hit Josh Hazlewood over long on’s head for a six, but Du Plessis caught him. In the process, he went over the boundary ropes, but not before throwing the ball in the air, going over and coming back into the field of play, and took the catch cleanly.
