Delhi Capitals won their 7th match of the IPL 2019 out of nine matches.
Delhi Capitals (DC) have come closer to qualifying for the IPL 2021 playoffs after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Wednesday (September 22). DC pacers Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada, and spinner Akshar Patel restricted SRH to 134/9 and they chased down the target in 17.5 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
DC captain Rishabh Pant was satisfied with their performance after the 7th win in nine matches of IPL 2021. He said the team is focusing on the process and putting their best effort on each day for the best result.

"Very happy with this performance. We discussed that we had a good first phase, and we are happy to start the second phase this way. We said the same thing about focusing on the process and giving it 100% every day," Pant said after the match.
Nortje returned with figures of 2-12 and his teammate Rabada took three wickets for 37 runs to ensure Hyderabad don't get enough runs on the board. For SRH, Abdul Samad (28 off 21) was the top scorer, and rest of the batters struggled to score runs.
"It's a good bowling performance because we thought 150-160 would have been a good total, so 130-something was a good score to restrict them to. We have one of the quickest bowlers in the world so I think they're great assets to have," Pant added.
DC opener Shikhar Dhawan gave them a good start with a 42-run knock, and then Shreyas Iyer added unbeaten 47 runs along with Pant's 35* to win the match comfortably.
