Virat Kohli fell for 5 runs against KKR as RCB folded for 92 runs and lost by 9 wickets.
Captain Virat Kohli once again disappointed with the bat, as after hitting a four, he was out LBW the next ball to Prasidh Krishna, something that he has been struggling with for some time. He made just 5 runs in his knock.
Former India and RCB wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel believes Kohli's dismissal is being over-analyzed by cricket pundits and the fans.

"I think sometimes you have to give the credit to the bowler as well. It is one of the most difficult balls to face. Yes, the head position is slightly out but it's always been the case with Virat Kohli. It's not like it's first time. Because of the form, he is in, because of maybe the mental space he is in, that is the reason why he has missed that ball, I think. We are just probably over-analyzing it way too much,” Parthiv said during the innings break on Star Sports.
Parthiv further stated that had Virat being in top form with the bat, he would have dispatched such deliveries to the boundary.
"If he was in prime form, we have seen him hit those boundaries from mid-on till fine leg. So, I think it's just a matter of time. I don't think we need to read too much into that head position. It was not as bad as we are trying to talk about it," Parthiv signed off.
Not only Parthiv Patel, but West Indies batting legend Brian Lara also opined that it could be a case of a tired Virat Kohli, but also said that the encounter was a close one that it looked.
"One of the areas is 'where is the match fitness? It could be a jaded Virat Kohli as well. But it's a closer encounter than we really think it is. We think here is an RCB team that hasn't only dominated in the first half but they have played better cricket. They had 5 wins out of 7 and with KKR struggling, you think it is going to be a walk in a part. But when you really look man to man, the contest is closer," Lara told Cricket.com.
RCB will next face CSK on September 24 in Sharjah.
