He also lauded Ruturaj Gaikwad for his match-winning performance against MI.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Dwayne Bravo on Monday (September 20) said that the Mumbai Indians (MI) is the toughest team in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) and playing against them always feel like a final after he helped CSK to beat MI by 20 runs in Dubai on Sunday (September 19).
Defending 156 in Dubai, Bravo (3/25) and Deepak Chahar (2/19) led the CSK bowling attack brilliantly to crush the defending champions MI by 20 runs in the first game of the second phase of the IPL 2021 to take the top spot in the IPL 2021 points table on Sunday.
Bravo told host broadcaster Star Sports after the match, “It's a good feeling, obviously against MI it's the toughest team in IPL and it's like a final playing against them, always a good feeling to win.”

The all-rounder also contributed with the bat by playing a cameo of 23 runs off just 8 balls, hitting 3 massive sixes against MI. He added, “Just try to give the best of my ability whenever I go out to bat.”
He further said of his bowling against MI, “Just tried to protect me in the last stages of CPL and when I came over here, just had one bowling session which was yesterday. Happy to get four overs through today. Now I bat lower down the order with the batting line-up like CSK. For me, it's just about trying to get the momentum and try to capitalize, adjust and adapt.”
The West Indian star also lauded young opener Ruturaj Gaikwad who played a match-winning knock of 88* off 58 balls to help CSK to post 156/6 after being 24/4 inside the powerplay against MI in Dubai.
Bravo signed off by saying, “Gaikwad has been our star player (at the) end of last season and this season (first phase). He is a quality player, played proper cricket shots, and played till the end. He has an appetite for runs and it was good to get over the line (in) this game.”
