Indian Premier League franchises have signed a few new players ahead of the IPL 2021 second phase.
Former India cricketer and Punjab Kings (PBKS) batting coach Wasim Jaffer posted the scenario in Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises through a meme. He is famous on social media for his strong meme game which never fails to amuse fans.
A lot of franchises have signed new players for the second phase of IPL 2021 after a few players pulled out of the remaining matches. Jaffer made a meme around it using the famous Hindi movie 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' and shared it on Twitter.
"IPL teams to new players on their first day of training ???? @PunjabKingsIPL #IPL2021," he wrote. The text on the meme read, "Sunoji ab inse milo ji", suggesting that the franchises would introduce the new players.
Punjab, who are at number 6 on the points table with only 3 wins in 8 matches, will face Rajasthan Royals in their ninth match of the IPL 2021, scheduled on September 21.
Currently, the road to the top four looks tough for Punjab as they are only the second team to play eight matches in the first phase. Delhi Capitals are the other team to play 8 matches and they are the table toppers with 6 wins.
