On Saturday (August), Rajasthan Royals (RR) signed No.1 T20I bowler Tabraiz Shamsi for the remainder of the IPL 14. The South African spinner replaces Australia’s Andrew Tye in the RR squad.
Last week, the Royals roped in New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips as the replacement for England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler, who pulled out of the UAE-leg of IPL 2021 to attend the birth of his second child.
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) also confirmed their final overseas inclusion, signing England all-rounder George Garton for the rest of IPL 2021 season.
Earlier, RCB had added Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera and Tim David as replacements for Adam Zampa, Daniel Sams and Finn Allen respectively.
After the first half of IPL, Rajasthan Royals are occupying the fifth slot on the points table with three wins from seven outings while Royal Challengers Bangalore are placed in the third position with five wins from seven games.
