The two were earlier denied permission to play the remaining half of IPL 2021.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has said that it is now willing to give Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman the no-objection certificate (NOC) for participating in the second half of the IPL 2021. BCB had earlier denied permission to the two players as they were expected to remain with the Bangladesh team.
Bangladesh was scheduled to play England in September which clash with IPL 2021 in UAE and the decision comes after the series was rescheduled to March 2023.
''Yes, if they apply and if we don't have any international commitment they can go and take part in IPL. We are yet to receive any official letter from them in this regard and if we get that, the board will take a decision,'' BCB cricket operation chairman Akram Khan told Cricbuzz.
