The CPL begins from Aug 28 with the final on Sept 19, while the IPL 2021 will resume from Sept 18- Oct 10.
The BCCI is trying to convince Cricket West Indies to advance the start of the Caribbean Premier League by a week or 10 days so that a smooth bubble-to-bubble transfer of players can happen between the two tournaments.
BCCI on Saturday approved the resumption of the lucrative Indian Premier League in the UAE in the middle of September, which had to be suspended in May due to the COVID-19 breakout in the bio-bubble.

The CPL is scheduled to get underway from August 28 with the final to be played on September 19, while the remaining part of IPL is likely to be held from September 18 to October 10, leaving the players not much time to settle.
"We are in talks with Cricket West Indies. We are hoping that if CPL can be finished a few days in advance, it would help in a bubble to bubble transfer of all players to Dubai and in time to complete the mandatory three-day quarantine," a BCCI source, privy to the development, told PTI on Sunday.
However, if the CWI fails to agree with the BCCI’s request, many of the big-name Caribbean and international players may miss the initial part of the second half of the IPL 2021.
Caribbean players like Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, and Sunil Narine are just a few names that participate in the IPL and will be part of the IPL 2021 for their respective franchises.
