The 2021 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to restart in September-October this year after being suspended midway due to COVID-19 crisis.

After its Special General Meeting (SGM), BCCI on Saturday (May 29) confirmed that the remaining games of IPL 14 will be held in the United Arab Emirates, where the tournament was successfully staged last year.

As soon as the announcement was made, franchises took to Twitter and welcomed the Indian board’s decision.

While all the eight franchises reacted, it was Rajasthan Royals' hilarious post that hogged the limelight.

RR uploaded a video of a song from the movie 'Heyy Babyy' in which they superimposed faces of their players and the logo of IPL on the faces of the cast of the movie, comprising Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan and Anupam Kher.

Sharing the funny clip on Twitter, Royals wrote, “Wait, what? #HallaBol | #RoyalsFamily | #IPL2021.” Interestingly, Mumbai Indians also took to social media and shared a picture from last year's IPL which was held in the UAE, and wrote, “UAE, we are coming back.”

The 14th edition of IPL was postponed indefinitely on May 4 after multiple COVID-19 cases were reported inside the bio-bubble of various franchises.

The cash-rich event saw only 29 games being held within four venues in India and there are still 31 matches left in the competition.
