He made his IPL debut with PBKS in the recently-suspended IPL 14.
Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings (PBKS) batsman Shahrukh Khan has often been linked with the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for the obvious similarity in the names of the two and even the cricketer makes the most of every opportunity to relish the glory.
The PBKS co-owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta picked up Shahrukh in the IPL auction 2021 for INR 5.25 crores and even expressed her happiness by saying, “we got Shahrukh” looking at the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) – which was also co-owned by the iconic actor – table during the auction in Chennai.
Well, ever since the Tamil Nadu batsman was brought by the franchise co-owned by actress Preity Zinta, there have been jokes and references of Preity having SRK in her team on social media.
Recently, the fans got to see another incident when the cricketer shared a picture of him with the PBKS co-owner, Preity Zinta, on Instagram while teasing the fans with a reference from the popular Indian film “Kal Ho Naa Ho” featuring the Shah Rukh Khan and Veer Zara actress.
The PBKS batsman Shahrukh shared a picture with his team’s co-owner and captioned it with Zinta’s on-screen name from the movie “Kal Ho Naa Ho” last week on Instagram.
He captioned the post by saying: “Naina 1,2,3 tinggg,”
