Indian Premier League 2021 was in half-way when the tournament got postponed.
Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises urged fans to stay at home after IPL 2021 got postponed because of COVID-19. The bio-bubble of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Delhi Capitals (DC), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was breached after players were reported positive for Coronavirus.
The tournament had already lost 5 players - Andrew Tye (Rajasthan Royals), Liam Livingstone (RR), Kane Richardson (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Adam Zampa (RCB), and Ravichandran Ashwin (DC) - who left the IPL bio-bubble citing personal reasons.
All the eight franchises made a post on Twitter for their fans after the news of the IPL 2021 suspension. "Signing off from Ahmedabad ???????? We will be back soon, stronger! Till then, urging everyone to stay home, stay safe ????," wrote KKR.
