IPL has been suspended after four players in bio-bubble tested positive for COVID-19.
Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) has been postponed indefinitely on Tuesday (May 4) after 4 players involved in the tournament tested positive for COVID-19 in their team bio-bubbles within 48 hours. Fans on social media appreciated the move by BCCI for the safety of the players.
Earlier, foreign players like Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson left the tournament midway after India saw a huge rise in the COVID-19 cases across the country.
Varun Chakravarthy, Amit Mishra, Wriddhiman Saha, and Sandeep Warrier are among the players reported being tested positive in their bio-bubble. Even Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowling coach Laxmipathy Balaji and a member of the logistics team were tested positive.

The worsening situation forced BCCI to put a halt to the tournament for everyone's safety. They may continue the tournament later this year if there's an available window, but there's not much clarity so far.
The suspension followed by the bio bubble breach also raises concerns over India's possibility to host the T20 World Cup in October-November.
