Talking about the match, Hardik's cameo helped MI keep the required rate under control. He scored 7-ball 16 and smashed a couple of sixes in the penultimate over off Sam Curran. Those sixes were crucial to go into the last over with the asking rate under control.
Krunal Pandya also struck a 23-ball 32 though he wasn't as fluent with his strokes as usual.
Kieron Pollard did rest of the job in the final over as he scored the required 16 runs off Lungi Ngidi. MI won the match by 4 wickets and Pollard was the star performer with 87 unbeaten runs and a couple of wickets with the ball.
