Cummins urged his fellow IPL players to donate to this good cause.
Cummins posted a statement on his Twitter account stating that he holds India very kind to his heart and called its people kindest and warmest. He also mentioned that seeing so many of them suffering is saddening him greatly.

He also opined on the discussion whether the IPL should continue or not and said that he was advised that the IPL provides joy and respite to the Indian population in a difficult time for the country.
He called the cricketers privileged to be playing the game they love and hence he donated $50,000 to the PM Cares fund specifically for the purchase of oxygen supplies for hospitals in need. He even encourages his fellow IPL players to join him in this kind deed and contribute as much as possible.
He hoped that his donation might make a difference to someone and appealed to the public to channel their emotions into action that will bring light to other people’s lives.
