IPL 2021: T Natarajan of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) ruled out of IPL 14 with a knee injury, as per reports

Natarajan last played for SRH in IPL 2021 against KKR on April 11.

T Natarajan, who missed the last two matches for his franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing IPL 2021, has been reportedly ruled out of the remainder of the tournament with his knee injury getting serious.

The NCA physios have been reportedly monitoring his fitness status and have communicated to the BCCI about the aggravation. The 30-year-old left-arm pacer may be advised not to take further part in the tournament.

Sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the IPL have revealed that the pacer could be asked to report back to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore.

It is not clear when his knee injury got worse, but Natarajan had previously spent two months at the NCA after returning from the Australia tour. It is now expected that the BCCI will ask the franchise to release the pacer, who is still understood to be with SRH in Chennai.

"We have not got the full report but we have been told that he has developed a strain in the knee. He will have to undergo rehab in the NCA," said the source.

SRH finally won a game after three straight losses in the IPL 2021, as they beat the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 21 in Chennai.
