Maxwell has been in sublime form this IPL as he has two half centuries in three matches
The Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been in sublime form in IPL 2021 as he scored a superb 78 off 48 deliveries for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Former England spinner Graeme Swann said that the explosive right-hand batsman has surprised him more than anyone else in IPL 2021.

“He surprised me more than anyone. I thought it was a bonkers amount of money they spent on him in the auction. But they said 'no, he has got the strike rate in the middle, we're backing him'. Sanjay Bangar has been the batting coach the last two times he has been among the runs,” Swann said.
The Englishman was also extremely happy to see Maxwell playing his trademark reverse sweep again as he said, “I think he feels happy, he feels relaxed. He played really good shots. He's got his reverse hit back.”
According to the 42-year-old, the presence of heavyweights like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, the Aussie has the freedom to express himself and play his natural game.

“He's got Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in the team, and it really suits him, to be that third player who can just go out there and express himself, without having to carry the team. This suits him. He looks in a very good place, he looks very fit,” Swann said on Star Sports.
Maxwell has been amongst the runs this season as he is right behind Shikhar Dhawan in the list of leading run-scorers in this year’s IPL.
The Australian will be back in action as RCB take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Thursday (22 April) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
