Rajasthan Royals (RR) all-rounder Ben Stokes wasn't pleased with the commentary during the match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday (April 18).

Stokes took to Twitter and pointed out the mistake by the on-air commentator. He didn't name the commentator but mentioned the comment which he found wrong during the match.

“Commentator: “Such a poor bouncer, if you want to bowl a bouncer it must be over Off Stump” REPLAY: bouncer line directly over Off Stump", he wrote on Twitter.

It was the 11th over of Punjab's innings when captain KL Rahul was on strike to face Kagiso Rabada. Rabada bowled a short ball to Rahul and he responded with a hook shot that went over the backward square region.

The commentator said Rabada should have bowled the ball over the off stump, however, replays showed that the ball was actually over the off stump; leaving Stokes surprised. It was Sunil Gavaskar on-air who made the comment.

The England cricketer has returned home after playing only one IPL 2021 match. He suffered a finger injury and England Cricket Board (ECB) said that he would require surgery on his broken finger, which puts him out for up to 12 weeks.
