Suryakumar's six landed on the roof of Chepauk Stadium.
MI brought in Quinton de Kock for Chris Lynn, while KKR went in unchanged. De Kock could only manage 2 runs before falling to Varun Chakravarthy. But the impetus to the MI innings was given by Suryakumar Yadav, who slammed a brilliant 56 in 36 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes, before falling to Shakib Al Hasan.
Surya was in the peak of his form and it exhibited in the shot he hit to bring up his half-century. He got a length ball on his pads from Pat Cummins and Surya moved a bit to offside and carted the ball over mid-wicket onto the Chepauk stadium roof.
This left Hardik Pandya awestruck who just clapped for Surya which his mouth wide open.
