Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni is elated to be back at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 and wants to make the most of whatever is left in him as a cricketer.

CSK open their IPL 2021 campaign against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday (April 10) and it is Dhoni’s first competitive game after the last year’s IPL in UAE.

"We were also looking to bowl. It's cloudy, we may not get as much dew. You want to make the most of whatever is left. It feels good to be back and we had some good time in terms of preparation. We'll also use some players who are in quarantine later. Faf, Moeen, Sam and Bravo are our overseas players," Dhoni said at the toss ceremony.

CSK are looking to make a fresh start after enduring a disappointing IPL 2020, where they failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in the tournament history.

The Chennai-based franchise bought the likes of Moeen Ali, Robin Uthappa, Krishnappa Gowtham, Cheteshwar Pujara, among others at the auction in February to bolster their squad.

Coming to this match, DC won the toss and opted to bowl first against CSK. Moeen Ali has been named in Chennai’s playing XI.

CSK's playing XI against DC:

Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni(w/c), Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar
