DC will play CSK in their first match of IPL 2021 on 10th April.
Delhi Capitals' (DC) South African pacers Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje have arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday (6th April) and will miss their first match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) due to the mandatory seven-day quarantine period.
"Delhi Capitals' fast bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje arrived at the team hotel in Mumbai on Tuesday," the franchise said in statement.
"Rabada and Nortje will be in quarantine for one week," it added.
Delhi Capitals were the second-best franchise in the IPL 2020. Shreyas Iyer led side barely missed the opportunity to claim their first title as they were beaten by Mumbai Indians(MI) in the final.
South African pacers Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje were one of the main reasons that helped the Capitals reach their maiden final last year. Taking to their official Twitter handle, DC posted the picture of the South African duo and announced their arrival in Mumbai.
“Name this duo that has just arrived back to our DC Family. Wrong answers only,” DC captioned the picture.
The duo was the part of ongoing ODI series between South Africa and Pakistan and left the country on Monday (5th April). They will now undergo mandatory seven-day quarantine and will miss the team's opening fixture against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 10th April.
They will play under the leadership of Rishabh Pant this season as their regular skipper Shreyas Iyer was ruled out due to a shoulder injury that he picked up during the ODI series against England.
