Delhi Capitals (DC) had recently announced the left-handed explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant as their skipper for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after their regular skipper Shreyas Iyer hurt his left shoulder in the recently concluded ODI series against England.

While everyone is debating about this decision, DC’s assistant coach and former India batsman Mohammad Kaif believes that the captaincy will only take Pant’s game to the next level.

IPL 2021: Brad Hogg says Delhi Capitals will miss Shreyas Iyer's leadership this season

Wishing a speedy recovery to @ShreyasIyer15who captained us in our dream run to the IPL final. All the best to our dilli ka kadak launda, @RishabhPant17. I'm sure captaincy will take his game to yet another level,” Kaif tweeted.
