DC will start their IPL 2021 campaign against CSK on 10th April.
Delhi Capitals pacer Umesh Yadav has remarked that he will give his best for his team in the IPL 2021 and will keep getting better every day.
After having a forgettable 2020 IPL campaign, where he couldn’t manage a single wicket and went at a rate of 11.85 per over, Umesh Yadav was shown the exit door by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of the IPL 2021 auction.
Heading into the IPL 2021 auction Indian fast bowler returned to his old franchise Delhi Capitals as he was picked up by runner-ups of the Indian premier league (IPL) 2020 for his base price of INR 1 crore.
However, with less than 10 days remaining for IPL 14, the veteran Indian pacer is ready to hit the deck as he is out of the mandatory seven-day quarantine and has started to train with his teammates.

"After being in quarantine for one week, it was great to step onto the ground and spend some time with the boys. I just want to do well whenever I have the ball in my hand. I will definitely give my best for my team and keep getting better every day," Umesh Yadav said in a DC release.
Umesh Yadav further recounted that he began his IPL career with the Delhi-based franchise. The pacer said he has played with many players in the team and the environment feels like 'home' to him.
"I started my IPL career with the Delhi team, so the Delhi franchise feels like home to me. I know a lot of players on the team. I have been playing with the likes of Ishant Sharma, Akshar Patel, and Rishabh Pant for quite some time. It doesn't feel like I am joining a new team. I am already feeling very comfortable in the Delhi Capitals camp," he said.
In 121 IPL games in his career, Umesh Yadav has bagged 119 wickets to his name at an average of 30.07.
