IPL 2021: WATCH- MS Dhoni unveils new CSK jersey with camouflage design for IPL 14

The new look jersey features camouflage design on shoulders as tribute to Indian armed forces.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain unveiled their new look jersey for the upcoming IPL 2021 edition which begins on April 9 and will be played across six cities in the country. The matches are going to be played behind closed doors in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad will also host the playoffs stage and the final of the IPL 2021 which is to be played on May 30.

CSK has certainly come up with a revamped look for their jersey as it is featuring a new camouflage design on the shoulders. The camouflage design is a tribute to the Indian armed forces. CSK has done away with the red and blue stripes near the shoulders.

MS Dhoni, who is an honorary Lieutenant Colonel with the Territorial Army, will be sporting the new-look jersey as he will lead the side in IPL 2021.

"The new-look jersey features camouflage as a tribute to India’s armed forces and three stars atop the much-loved franchise’s logo. It has been on our mind for some time now to find ways to raise awareness about the significant and selfless role of the armed forces. The camouflage is an appreciation of their service they are the true heroes,” CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said.

The new jersey also features the logo of CSK's new shirt sponsor, Myntra. It also has 2 stars above the CSK crest which highlights their 3 IPL titles in 2010, 2011, and 2018. Chennai Super Kings will begin their IPL 2021 campaign against last year's runners-up Delhi Capitals on April 10 in Mumbai.
